“I joined Toastmasters because I could see the areas needing improvement in my own verbal communication,” said Nechako Toastmasters President Cameron Orr. “I`m now in my second year in the club and I can see and feel the difference the club has made in how I communicate.”
Signing up to Toastmasters provides a set of two manuals – one geared to communication projects and another to leadership. Both manuals are completed at a member`s own pace, and speeches are given immediate feedback from a designated evaluator.
Nechako Toastmasters meet the first and third Thursdays of each month, at 7 p.m. in the Kitimat General Hospital`s multi-purpose room.
Members of the public are always encouraged to stop by and just watch a meeting if they are at all curious, people are never turned away.
