Kitimat Council meets tonight, Monday, December 21st for their Regular Meeting of Council. The meeting begins at 7:30 Pm in the Council Chambers of Northwest Community College.

There are two presentations. The first is by Laurel deGoeij, Coach of the High School Girls Curling Team on the topic of Provincial Champs, 2014-2015. They will be followed by Staff Sargent McLaren and Sergeant Morgan with the monthly Policing Report.

Councillor Mary Murphy has a motion to allow Kitimat residents to sign up for a data base to receive information through emails.

There are four bylaws. The first is the adoption of the Leisure Services Fees and Charges Amendment Bylaw, followed by the adoption 2016 Revenue Anticipation Borrowing Bylaw, adoption of the Manufactured Home Naming Bylaw and three readings for the District of Kitimat Council Remuneration Amendment Bylaw.

Under Reports and Communications, there are four items. There is a report on Council Seating, Appointments to Commissions and Committees, Pedestrian Road Safety for 2015 and the Statement of Accounts for November.

The meeting ends with the approval of the minutes for the Housing Committee and Mayor and Council Reports.
