Kitimat Council meets tonight, Monday, November 2nd for a Regular Meeting of Council. The meeting starts tonight at 7:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Northwest Community College.

The meeting is scheduled to begin with a public hearing concerning the LNG Canada Zoning Bylaw, a continuation from last week’s meeting. 2nd and 3rd readings are on the agenda following the presentation.

There is only one presentation, from Dan McElheron and Liz Thorne, concerning a grant request for the Snow Valley Nordic Ski Club. This request will come up later in the meeting, under Reports.

The other three reports are the 2014 Annual Report and Statement of Financial Information, a Tax Exemption for a house on Dadook Street and a crown land Referral for a Quarry Borrow Pit for Daudet Creek Contracting.

There are some minutes from the Advisory Planning Commissions and Housing Committee, and of Course, Council will be giving their reports.

What next... as enough if we don't put up with enough noise from the Rod and Gun area and the dump. Is there not another area where Daudet Creek Contracting Ltd. could acquire a quarry ? It will certainly decrease property values. Dust and increased traffic.... it's a definite "no" as far as I'm concerned. Is there not a salmon bearing stream nearby ?
