Kitimat Council meets tonight, Monday, October 5th at 7:30 pm in their Council Chambers at the North West Community College.
There are three presentations coming before Council. The first is from Judy Bergman and Diana Falardeau, who will be presenting to Council on the topic of Foster Home Recruitment. Terry Lam will be talking about potable water quality. Finally, Kitimat’s brand new Staff Sergeant McLaren will be presenting the police report for August.
After approving minutes, Council will be approving the fist reading for a zoning amendment bylaw for LNG Canada.
Under reports and communications, the first is a grant request for the Hazelton Skating Club, who wish to use the Kitimat Rinks while their own rink is down. It is followed by a report from the RCMP on Cost Recovery Charges. There is a report on recycling options and finally, the statement of accounts for July and August.
Council will be appoving the Advisory Planning Commission minutes followed by the Council Reports.
