REPORTING · 26th August 2015
Walter McFarlane
Nathan Cullen holds an annual Barbecue every year for a local non-profit group on August 18th. This year, the organization which was selected was the Kitimat Community Services Society and their program which helps seniors stay in their homes.

“We’re raising money to help seniors out in Kitimat and had a very successful Barbecue. Lots of people coming through. It was just great on a beautiful day,” said Cullen.

The program helps senior citizens stay in their home through mowing lawns, clearing snow, picking up groceries, having social visits and transporting them to the doctor.

Out to help fundraise by cooking and serving Burgers and Hotdogs were representatives of Mayor and Council, the Kitimat RCMP detachment and Kitimat Fire Fighters.

They made over $1000 for the KCSS program. Cullen thanked all of the volunteers who helped out during the afternoon.
