NEWS RELEASE · 8th July 2015
Kitimat Marlin Swim Club
Angus Bathe (10) from the Kitimat Marlins competed in the 2015 AA provincial long course swim championships over the weekend in Kamloops. Bathe just recently made the the two qualifying time standards at the last regional meet and a time trial in Prince Rupert just two weeks prior so it was a question mark how much more improvement he could make in such a short amount of time.

Bathe answered those questions with LOTS! He swam to large personal best times in all four individual events and made the finals for the 11 and under boys in 3 out of the 4 events. Bathe placed 6th in the 100 freestyle, 7th in the 50 free and 8th in the 200 backstroke. Bathe also helped the regional relay with three Prince Rupert swimmers. They took the silver medal in the 12 and under boys 200 meter freestyle relay and fourth in the 200 meter medley relay.
