Kitimat RCMP
On June 14th 2015 at 11:40 pm, the Kitimat RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Bish Creek Forest Service Road (FSR) in Kitimat. The driver of a pick-up truck travelling southbound lost control at the 7 km mark (pullout # 4) and rolled his truck. The driver (lone occupant) of the pick-up truck was ejected from the vehicle. The male was treated at the scene but was pronounced deceased at Kitimat General Hospital. Alcohol, speed and failing to wear seatbelt are believed to be contributing factors. A collision analyst attended to the scene. The deceased is a 27 year old male from Victoria. The Kitimat RCMP and the B.C. Coroner are continuing to investigate.
