The Kitimat Museum and Archives is opening an exhibit of Photography tonight at 7:30 at their Annual General Meeting. The exhibit, named: ‘The Local Lens,’ showcases work by local photographers.
“We have three pieces from a variety of Photographers,” said Angela Eastman. “Landscapes, portraits, wedding photos. It’s quite an interesting array of images.”
The AGM will feature one change to the museum’s constitution, adding visual arts to the objectives of the society and there will be a vote on it. It is expected the AGM portion of the meeting will be short.
Each photographer has also been invited to speak, answering a set of questions so people could learn more about photography or the images on the wall. It will be accompanied by a Wine and Cheese.
The museum cannot guarantee this will be an annual exhibition. They do intend to have photo exhibits more frequently.
