Every resident is encouraged to clean up their home, yard and business. This is so an excellent time to check for and remove any fire hazards and to return recyclable materials to the appropriate recycling depot. The Kitimat Municipal Landfill Site is also available for disposal of white goods, tires, and automotive batteries for recycling as well as household and yard waste. The Landfill Site is open to the public during the
following summer hours:
Monday - 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday - Closed
Wednesday to Friday - 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday - 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
There will also be expanded Residential Refuse Pick up the following week for all residential customers from May 19 to May 22, 2015.
During this week maximum limits on the number of cans and bags will be waived. Pick up will be on your normal pickup day. Refuse must be placed at curb side and packaged or bundled in the normal way. Overweight and/or oversize items will not be collected.
