Kitimat Council Meets tonight for their regular Meeting of Council, held in the Council Chambers of Northwest Community College. However, first they have two public hearings, one on a Service Centre Zoning Amendment Bylaw and one on an M1 Zoning Amendment Bylaw.
Following this, they have to Authorize the 2015 Flat Rate Tax Role. Then, it’s into the presentations.
First off, Kimberly Wasyleski, the President of Kildala PAC is talking about the Kildala Playground Project. She is followed by Tim Rice presenting on the loss of services due to the Strike. Speaking of Which, then comes Virgil Vales from Unifor 2300 talking about the lack of accountability. Following him is Martin McIlwrath and Jeremy Dos Santos speaking about the Labour Dispute. Finally, Vickey Kokesch wants to give a Bull-O-Rama Update.
After approving minutes, Council goes into Bylaw Mode, with three readings of the Financial Plan, 3 readings of the Residential Flat Rate Tax Amendment Bylaw, 3 readings of the Tax Rates Bylaw and 3rd reading and Adoption of the Service Centre M2 Zoning Amendment Bylaw.
Under Reports, there is a report on a development Variance Permit Application for Inland Industrial, a report on the PAC Playground, an M1 Zoning Amendment Bylaw Report, replacement of the Firehall Generator, a report on outdoor playground and park sites and the grant request from Mountainview Alliance Church.
