NEWS RELEASE · 29th April 2015
The Hirsch Creek Golf and Winter Club will be holding an open house this coming weekend, Saturday May 2nd and Sunday, May 3rd between 11 am and 2 pm on both days.
“We want to expose the golf course to the community of Kitimat. There are many people who feel we are a private organization, but we’re 100% open to the public,” said Course Manager Steve Haggard.
They plan to have Corn on the Cob and Cotton Candy available, there will be free driving range golf balls, and there will be tours of the club house and the golf course. Members will be driving people around the course.
“We want everyone to come out and enjoy the place,” said Haggard.

Are you saying that the golf course should be in town so you can walk to it?? They offer an open house...everyone welcome...and folks still cry because its 2$ bus ride to get there.
Do you really want to go?

If you really want to go then catch the bus to the nearest point and take the 5 - 10 minute walk . Or see if a friend is going if they have a car carpool, if not cab it .
I want to go too

I am wondering what time the shuttle bus will be leaving City Centre I want to go up to the open house too, especially as some of my city taxes are going to pay for it. I have been reading how it is for everybody, so, I have to guess they mean everyone...not just those that can afford cars.
