Kitimat City Council Meets tonight for their Regular Meeting of Council , tonight, Monday, November 17th at 7:30 pm at the Council Chambers at Northwest Community College. The newly elected Council will not be taking their seats just yet.

There are five presentations. The first is from Sharon Gregson from the coalition of Child Care Advocate of BC on the topic of Access to Quality Affordable Childcare in Kitimat and the $10 a day Childcare plan for BC and Staff Sergeant Phil Harrison with his monthly policing report.

If you are interested in the Kitimat Air Shed Study, Edward Hoffman and Ian Sharpe from the Ministry of Environment are presenting on it. Jane Newlands will be giving a 2014 project update on LNG Canada. Finally, Rose Klukas, Trent Bossence and Peter Bizarro are doing a report on Oman LNG.

After approving minutes, there are two motions. The first is on riverbank erosion at Raddley Park. The second is on the Minette Bay Lands.

Under Bylaws, there is the District of Kitimat Council Remuneration Bylaw.

Under reports, there is a report from the Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC, a travel grant request from the Snow Valley Skating Club, a funding release for the Hirsch Creek Golf and Winter Club, a Temporary Building Permit from Rio Tinto Alcan and the Statement of Accounts for October.

Finally, there is the Mayor and Council Reports.

Maybe as a councillor elect you should direct that question to the administration.
Maybe we made a mistake electing you, ah well it's only 4 years.

Why did we have to watch a ROTARY auction from Prince Rupert instead of our local Mayor and council meeting.
