REPORTING · 13th November 2014
Walter McFarlane
It was bright and sunny at the cenotaph when Kitimat held its annual Remembrance Day Ceremony just before 11:00 on Tuesday, November 11th. A bright flame burned atop the cenotaph as the colours were marched in. Many people came out to witness the ceremony.

Legion Chaplin, Rev. Dona Lethbridge led the prayer and gave the benediction. Mayor Joanne Monaghan and Comrade Marg Bogaert, President of the Legion, read the scripture lessons. Susie Smeader led Oh Canada and God Save the Queen and the last post was played by bugler Derrick Strojny.

The service included a moment of silence and the laying of the wreaths. At its end, the parade marched to the legion for fellowship, refreshments, music and lunch.
