REPORTING · 13th November 2014
The Furniture Swap took place on Saturday, November 8th. The old Humane Society Building was filled with furniture at the start of the day which had been dropped off by the previous owners and a group of volunteers who did pickups.
“The old SPCA building was full, single beds, entertainment units, clothes dryers, plants, coffee tables, tables, chairs, couches, and more. We even had a piano donated,” said Trish Parsons.
The Old Piano is going to be refurbished and given to the Hospital for use during special events.
“Many families came by and picked up dressers, shelves, plants, beds and couches,” said Parsons. “We were able to deliver most items on Saturday and this week volunteers will assist in delivering additional furniture that was available at the swap.”
Parsons would like to thank all the people who dropped off furniture and all the volunteers who came out to make the Furniture Swap a success.
