Aluminum City Telethon
It’s time to ACT Kitimat! Come on down to Mount Elizabeth Theatre on Sunday October 19th and celebrate the 35th production of the Aluminum City Telethon. Things get under way at 11:00 am sharp and open with the MEMSS concert band medley from Disney’s The Lion King. There is a wide variety of talent throughout the day including demonstrations of the Kitimat Karate Club at 1:00 pm and the Kitimat Dynamics Gymnastics Club at 5:45 pm. This year we have several musical groups: Cameron Lutz at 2:55 pm and then again just after 3:00 along-side Eugene Chang. The Chrilons at 3:25, Liz Hoffman’s band at 4:15, December Stars at 6:10, Bill Vollrath at 7:15 and One to Wait at 8:30.

Dance Kitimat (4:30), Portuguese Dancers (2:10) and Belly Dancing (2:30) will be sure to please and the Kitimat Music Scholarship Society will showcase several of their fine pianists at 1:30 and 4:50.

Singers this year include Libby Towes (1:50), Hannah Durrant (2:35), Kendra Hall (3:40), Katherine Ocsovai (6:45), Zoe Gielens (7:45) and Susie Smeader (8:15). We also look forward to a performance by Michel Voyer (piano and sax) at 6:30.

The cafeteria will be offering all sorts of food to keep you well fed and for the little ones the small gym will be set-up with several exciting things to keep them occupied. All performances and activities are brought to you by the Kitimat Community Foundation and we encourage you to come down and watch live. If you cannot however, you can catch the show on City West's Channel 10 or live-streamed on www.kitimatcommunityfoundation.ca . A big shout out to City West for their continued commitment to this Kitimat community production.

For our live theatre audience, you can enter your name in a draw for 2 Hawk Air tickets…the only catch is you have to be in the audience to win. Draw to take place between 8:00-9:00 pm.
