Local government general elections will be held across British Columbia in November. General voting day is Saturday, November 15.
Kitimat residents will elect a Mayor, six Councillors and two trustees to the Board of Education for the Coast Mountains School District. Non-resident property owners may also be eligible to vote.
In addition to length of term increasing from three years to four, new campaign financing and third party advertising rules will be in effect.

Candidates can pick up nomination forms at the District of Kitimat Municipal Office (located at 270 City Centre) during regular hours. The nomination period closes at 4 pm on October 10, 2014.
