REPORTING · 14th July 2014
The Kitimat Fire Department was delivering Pizza Factory pizza Thursday, July 10th. This is the fourth year they have offered this promotion.
“If the person who gets the pizza has a working smoke detector, they get their pizza for free from us. It’s just to promote having a safe home, people testing their smoke detectors and if it gets delivered by us and it works, they get it for free,” said Jennifer Brousseau, summer student with the Emergency Awareness Program.
In the case the home did not have a working smoke detector; the homeowner receives a free smoke detector, but would have to pay for their pizza. There were three deliveries, and three smoke detectors worked.
