REPORTING · 1st July 2014
Walter McFarlane
It’s Canada Day today and there are a number of events going on around Kitimat including a few new ones. One of the new ones is a Haunted House being put on at the Kitimat Youth Centre entitled the Chamber of Horrors.

The Chamber of Horrors is being put on by Michelle Marentette as a fundraiser to make her annual haunted house better and raise some money for the Youth Centre at the same time. Getting in costs $2 and the money is split down the middle for each of the groups.

If by chance you miss the Haunted House tomorrow, you will have to wait for Halloween, when it will be at the Youth Centre and the Haisla Rec Centre so both youth centres will come from fundraising.

What spooky surprises are they willing to divulge? “People hiding in the dark… people dressed up, people hiding, spooky music, chains rattling…” said Marentette.

The Chamber of Horrors runs from 6 Pm to 10 Pm tonight. We have been told it will get scarier as the night progresses so the little kids can go through it for the first hours.
