REPORTING · 1st July 2014

It is time once again for summer programs. Monday Tuesday and Wednesdays this summer, the Kitimat Public Library is putting on their summer reading program in Kitimat. The program will also take place on Friday’s at Kitamaat Village. The theme this year is funny business and it runs from July 7th until the third week of August.

“It works like every other year. The children come in and they have circle time where they discuss their favourite stories, get their reading log stamped and then they’ll have literacy based activities,” said Virginia Charron.

They will also be holding 30 minute tutorials for children and adults with literacy.

At the end of the program, the children will have great memories of a summer spent with their friends. At the end of the program, they will receive a certificate signed by the leader. Registration has already begun.
