REPORTING · 27th June 2014
The Kitimat Museum and Archives is showing an exhibit of Distant Worlds, artwork by Joseline Light. Light is a Peruvian artist who paints amazing surreal landscapes of Fantasy. Light told us each of the landscapes is different world and something we would not see on Earth.
When asked what her inspiration was, she explained she does not really know, each one of them comes from a different moment in her life. The different colours come from her mood; brighter colours come from happiness while darker colours come from more depressing times, such as winter.
Each painting tells a story; however, Light encourages people who come to the exhibit to: “Use your imagination to create your own story too.”
The exhibit runs until July 19th so make sure to go check out some amazing artwork.
