Raymond Raj President the Kitimat Multicultural Society was before Council on Monday, June 2nd. He introduced the executive of the Kitimat Multicultural Society to Council and invited the community to volunteer.
“We are here in front of you because we believe in a civil society which is not only free from discrimination but is also has respect for all cultures. We believe in unity and diversity and we enjoy the benefits of a civil society. It’s our responsibility to promote respect to maintain a civil society,” said Raj.
He invited the community to take part in the Flag Raising Ceremony, June 28th at the Heritage Park, next to the Chamber of Commerce. It begins at 11:00 Am. There will be cake and Hot Dogs. Their next potluck dinner is scheduled for March 7th, 2015 at the Luso.
He thanked all the volunteers, members and sponsors.
