Warehouse One is once again participating in the Purolator Tackle Hunger Camping. Last year, the Kitimat Store came in first out of all the participating Warehouse One stores, collecting 691 pounds. This time, they want to break 1000 pounds.

“All of the food stays local and we donate it to the Food Bank and this year, we’re going to help the new soup kitchen. It starts on Friday, May 30th and it will be closing on Sunday, June 8th. All of our staff will be going door to door again this year collecting food,” said Tammy Maxfield, Manager.

People can also bring donations of food or cash into the store as well.

“We’re very excited about this because we want Kitimat to shine again this year,” said Maxfield.
