The Kitimat Public Market had its first market of 2014 on Sunday, May 25th. The market was busy with plants, food and crafts and people came out to see what was being offered. There were 11 venders but the crowds were steady and the weather held.
“Our next market is going to be June 29th, a Sunday, we’ll have 2 more in July, 3 in August, 4 in September,” said Willow Rudiger. “We really hope this could be an avenue for building community and building connections and having fun, meeting new people.”
One of the attractions at the market were activities for the children. In May, the kids were planting seeds. Next month, the activity for the next market is make your own bird feeder.
Rudiger thanked all the venders for coming out and making the market a success.
