This week is Hospice week. On Monday, April 22nd, Council received a presentation from Joneen Flaherty, a volunteer for Hospice. The first thing she wanted to do was thank the mall for having them there for the last 4 years. They have now moved to the college and entered a training agreement with them. They are also working with Kitimat Community Services.
Hospice wing began with a presentation by Mary Gavin on Saturday, May 3rd and will end with the Hike for Hospice on Saturday, May 10th, registration starts at Riverlodge at 1:30.
Finally, she thanked the community for their ongoing support. Mayor Joanne Monaghan thanked the Hospice Palliative Care Association for all the work they have done in the community of Kitimat.
