Kitimat RCMP
Kitimat Detachment responded to 96 calls for service during this period. Some of which are as follows:

On April 28 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a local residence. Police investigation determines no offence to have taken place. Parties involved were merely being a bit too loud. File is concluded.

On April 29 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of a residential break and enter where occupants of residence returned home to find doors open and belongings to have been rifled through. Three day delay in reporting of event to Police. File remains under investigation.

On April 29 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to and assisted in the rescue of an individual whose boat had broken down on the river. Coast Guard Helicopter attended and male was rescued without incident. File is concluded.

On April 30 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle having collided with a local townhouse complex. Driver of vehicle accidentally backed into a sign and some carport support poles, knocking them down. Violation ticket issued. File is concluded.

On April 30 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle having been keyed by an unknown subject. Vehicle owner has suspicions as to perpetrator; however, little evidence supports claim at this time. File remains under investigation.

On May 01 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle being rifled through overnight. Vehicle had been left unlocked in the driveway. Nothing reported to be missing. File is concluded.

On May 01 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of services being paid for by improper credit card. Credit card used was not in name of person receiving services. Police investigation determines credit card not to be stolen or improper. Name found to be an alias for owner. File is concluded.

On May 02 2014 Kitimat RCMP observed an intoxicated individual leave a local restaurant on foot, falling down as he walked away. Police checked on his well-being and offered to give a ride home; however, subject could not remember where they resided. Subject arrested for being intoxicated in public and lodged in Kitimat Cells. Subject released at a later time without incident. File is concluded.

On May 02 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of theft of liquor from a local liquor store.Unknown subject left store without offering payment for a 1.14 litre of Smirnoff. Police unable to locate subject at this time. File remains under investigation.

On May 03 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of a possible impaired driver. Police found an individual to be in care and control of a vehicle while intoxicated. Driver served with driving prohibition and vehicle was impounded. File is concluded.

On May 03 2014 Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of youth hanging out in a local abandoned building. Police arrive and found building to be empty. Police temporarily secure building and notify property owner of situation. Owner advised security of building will be addressed. File is concluded.

On May 04 2014 Kitimat RCMP respond to a report of a fight behind a local apartment building. Police arrive on scene but are unable to locate anybody involved in a fight. Patrols of area are also negative. File is concluded.

On May 04 2014 Kitimat RCMP respond to an alarm at a local business. One access door found to be unlocked, building cleared with all appearing to be in order. No signs of forced entry. Building secured by Police. File is concluded.
