Kitimat General Hospital Foundation receives grant from Masonic Kitimat Lodge #169, Square and Compasses
The Kitimat General Hospital Foundation (KGHF) was the recipient of a $1,915 donation presented by members of the Masonic Kitimat Lodge #169 at the Mason’s Dinner at the Royal Canadian Legion on March 28, 2014.
The Mason’s host a BBQ Steak & Chicken Dinner once a month at the Legion and committed the funds raised at their February Dinner to the KGHF to meet the goal of the Foundation to purchase a portable ultrasound machine for the Emergency Room and Acute Care area at the Kitimat General Hospital & Health Centre
Chairperson, Corinne Scott stated “the funds received from the Mason’s put the fund raising for the portable ultrasound machine over the top with an additional $650+ towards the Foundations next campaign which is to purchase updated infusion pumps for the Hospital. The support received from the Mason’s and others in the community is very heartwarming, and shows the community’s interest in ensuring that we have the best healthcare possible.”
A number of Directors and members of the Hospital Foundation were on hand to receive the donation from the hardworking Mason’s that were cooking and serving that evening.
