REPORTING · 22nd April 2014
Walter McFarlane
It was a harrowing experience at Cook Jewellers today, Tuesday, April 22nd when just before 1:30 pm an individual smashed one of their displays and took off with everything in it.

“We heard this heaving hammering and the wall was vibrating, there were about 7 or 8 hits, so I went out to see what was going on and he was at the door and I tried to hold the door closed and he kept pushing against me and then he pushed the door open, he hit me in the chest and he took off, up the hill,” said Donna Connors, Assistant Manager.

The event was witnessed by several other patrons of the mall but we were told they did not get involved until after. According to witnesses, the robber took off up Haisla Hill, but not before a lot of people got a good look at him.

Stay tuned for further information as it become available.
