The Multicultural Potluck Dinner took place on Saturday, March 29th put on by the Kitimat Multicultural Club. The Luso Canadian Hall was not as packed as it usually was, but there was still plenty of food and plenty of entertainment.

Mayor Joanne Monaghan welcomed everyone to the dinner. She brought two letters of congratulations, one from the Federal Minister of Multiculturalism, the Honourable Jason Kenny and one from the Provincial Minister of Multiculturalism, Teresa Wat. Monaghan delivered the grace.

MLA Robin Austin was also present. He thanked the members of the Multicultural Society and the Luso for putting on the event. He expressed Canada was a country which celebrated our differences, the different religions and the different languages.

Dinner was served, a delicious assortment of food with origins around the world. Following the dinner, the entertainment began. Children from the Luso Canadian Club performed Dances and there were several dances representing different cultures.
