Kitimat Hospital Foundation
A portable ultrasound machine for the Emergency Room at Kitimat General Hospital is getting closer to reality.
The Kitimat General Hospital Foundation (KGHF) was the recipient of a generous donation of $3,000 from the Knights of Columbus on March 5, 2014 towards a portable ultrasound machine for the ER and Acute Care area of the hospital.
Frank Mauro and Max Patzelt presented the cheque on behalf of the Knights of Columbus to Corinne Scott and Doug Thomson at the KGHF office located on the second floor of the Kitimat General Hospital and Health Centre.
Chairperson, Corinne Scott stated, “We are very pleased with the support received from the Knights of Columbus and their recognition of how this piece of equipment will benefit all residents in the Kitimat General Hospital area.
The Kitimat General Hospital Foundation is a volunteer group of people that are dedicated to ensuring that Kitimat’s health care services meet the need of the community and provide immediate benefit to the patients.”
