After 20+ years in Kitimat Community, Salvation Army Thrift Store to close doors January 25th.

Vancouver, British Columbia January 9, 2014 – The Salvation Army British Columbia Division announced it will close its Kitimat Thrift Store location as of January 25, 2014 due to circumstances beyond the control of the organization.

There are currently no plans to relocate the Thrift Store as The Salvation Army is unable to acquire another location space.

The Salvation Army has operated in the Kitimat community for over 20 years and wishes to Thank Thrift Store employees, volunteers, customers and donors for the years of service and patronage.

Shares, Lt. Colonel Larry Martin of The Salvation Army British Columbia Division, "It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of our local Thrift Store. On behalf of The Salvation Army, I wish to extend a sincere Thank You and appreciation to the people of Kitimat for welcoming and supporting The Salvation Army Thrift Store for so many years."

At present, The Salvation Army Kitimat Thrift Store will no longer be accepting donations. All donations can be redirected to, What's in Store Thrift Store: 169 Nechako Center 250.632.2354
