REPORTING · 17th December 2013
The Snow Valley Skating Club was on the ice performing with clubs from all over Northern BC this Weekend, Friday, November 29th, Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st. There were 105 competitors in the event.
“We’re having the 2013 Kla-How-Ya Interclub Competition and we’re hosing the competition with clubs all the way from Williams Lake, Quesnel, all the way to Prince Rupert,” said Jessica Goncalves.
Every year, a different club hosts the Kla-How-Ya.
The event began with a jamboree on Friday, a fun event for team building where groups of skaters get together in different teams and compete as a team. Goncalves told us all of the skaters were having a fabulous time.
The Snow Valley Skaters did all right at the Kla-How-Ya and took home the team trophy. They will be skating tonight at their Christmas Skating Gala at the Tamitik Arena.
A family Skate goes from 5:00-pm to 5:30 pm, from 5:30pm – 5:45 pm is Skate with Santa and from 6:00 Pm – 7:30 Pm is the Christmas Skating Gala. Cost for entrance is the donation of a non-perishable item for the food bank.
