Kitimat City Council meets tonight, Monday, December 16th at 7:30 Pm at the Council Chambers in the Northwest Community College at 7:30 PM.
There are four presentations scheduled. They are from Marc Douglas, Senior Advisor of External Affairs for Kitimat LNG. Staff Sargent Phil Harrison with his Monthly Policing Report, Cheryl Rumley, from End Violence Association with a ‘Be More than a Bystander Video Presentation,’ and Murray Minchin, from Douglas Channel Watch with Joint Review Panel Recommendations.
There are two bylaws. The first is 3rd reading and adoption of the ‘Planning Fee Amendment Bylaw’ and 1st and 2nd reading of a bylaw, to permit the construction of a 36 unit town house structure on Baxter Street.
Under reports, there is a request for a grant from the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, the 2014 Council Appointments, the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Information Centre Contract, a report on Council Remuneration, the 2014 Provisional Budget and request to support a fireworks Grant.
