REPORTING · 6th November 2013
Walter McFarlane
Remembrance Day is coming up, Monday, November 11th and the Royal Canadian Legion is putting on their annual ceremony to honour those who gave their lives for the freedom we enjoy today in Canada.

“We have our parade from the Dairy Queen up to the Cenotaph. They usually marshal at about 10:35 and march up. We have the colour party and comrades like the RCMP Officers, Rangers and such and they march up to the Cenotaph at 10:40 and we start the Ceremony around 10:45, 10:50. We do our readings and we have a moment of silence around 11:00. After that, we lay the wreaths and then we parade back to the legion for refreshments and comradeship,” said Comrade Marg Bogaert.

The roads to the center of town are expected to close prior to the ceremony. Once they are up, it is difficult to get to the ceremony. Bogart is reminding everyone to try and show up before 10:40.
