REPORTING · 17th October 2013

A humorous thing happened in City Council on Monday, October 7th. Council was going through the Statement of Accounts and Councillor Mario Feldhoff had found a lot of items. One item in particular stood out for an international money order. He wanted to know if they were in the habit of purchasing from US Vendors.

“The items that are listed are for Canada Day. They are some items purchased, glow sticks, glow in the dark swords, things like that, that were given away as a part of Canada Day,” said Martin Gould, head of Leisure Services.

Mayor Joanne Monaghan stated something about this situation sounded wrong. Gould stated they were the cheapest vendor. Council moved on.
