Kitimat City Council meets tonight for yet another Special Meeting of Council in their Council Chambers in Northwest Community College, Monday, September 30th at 7:30 Pm.
There are four presentations scheduled. The first is from Stacey Tyers, Poverty Law Advocate concerning Housing. The second, also concerning Housing, comes from Margaret Warcup, the Housing Committee Chair.
The third presentation is from Marc Douglas from Chevron. He will be presenting on Clio Bay. Not present will be the Department of Fisheries and Oceans who have sent Council a letter. Finally, Claire Rattee from Divine Ink will be talking about Personal Service Shops in Commercial Zones.
From there, Council goes into bylaws and reports. Personal Service Shops is scheduled to go for second reading. Third Reading and adoption is scheduled for the parking of Recreational Vehicles on Residential Property. A Second reading is planned for the Temporary Use Amendment Bylaw.
Rio Tinto Alcan has a pair of Temporary Building Permits on the agenda. One is for a main tool crib and the other is for Phase Four Expansion of the Modernization Camp.
Following that is the status of Council Assignments, the 2014 Provisional Budget Schedule and a White Paper on Local Government Election Reform.
