Kitimat City Council Meets tonight, Monday, Spetember 23rd, for a Special Meeting of Council. The meeting begins at 7:30 Pm in the Council Chambers of Northwest Community College.
The meeting begins with a public hearing, relating to the Parking of Recreational Vehicles in Residential Areas.
On the hearing is adjourned, there is a presentation from Staff Sergeant Phil Harrison with his Monthly Policing Report. It is followed by a presentation from Michael Langegger concerning public access.
The third reading of the Parking of Recational Vehicles is scheduled next. The next request is for a zoning amendment for 170 Nechako Centre. Clair Rattee wishes to open a Tattoo and Piercing Studio and is asking for the permitted land uses of a C2 Zone to permit this.
The next bit of Business is a an amendment to the way that Council receives Temporary Use Permits. The following report is a request for a Development Variance Permit to create an additional entrance to the parking lot for several businesses on 7th street.
There is a communication to Council from the Northwest Corridor Development Corporation concerning an opening on the board of directors and an AGM presentation. Finally, there is a letter to Council asking for feedback on the draft Public Consultation Plan for the PNG Looping Project.
