REPORTING · 9th September 2013
Walter McFarlane
Kitimat City Council Meets tonight for a special meeting of Council rather than their usual Committee of the Whole. The fun begins at 7:30 PM in the Council Chambers at Northwest Community College.

Coming before Council is the PTI Zoning Amendment Bylaw for 3r Reading and Final Adoption, a development permit for renovations at Overwaitea and a report concerning the Affordable Housing and Housing for Persons with Disabilities Committee.

The bigger items at the meeting include the Multi-Materials BC offer for a Packaging and Printed Paper Recycling Program, which was brought up last August, Electronic Participation at Meetings, which has come and gone over the past year and the Farrow Street Mail Delivery.

On Farrow Street, the Council is advised to make a motion to put a neighbourhood mailbox at the end of the street although they could choose to do nothing.
Mail Delivery
Comment by Frustrated on Farrow on 10th September 2013
Once again council show it's true colors and can't make a simple decision on the mail delivery on Farrow Street. The final answer to the box at the end of the street is NO, so I'm am not sure which part is so hard to understand. If the problem is the dog like we have been told then please have the humane society remove the dog from the irresponsible homeowner or better yet for everyday that the mail is not delivered just add $10 a day to homeowner's yearly taxes to be distributed to the other taxpayers on Farrow Street to offset the cost of fuel because they have to pick their mail up at the post office.

Thanks in advance
