Kitimat Council is requesting public comment regarding a Zoning Amendment application to the R3-B Multi-Family & Interim Residential Dormitory Zone.
PTI group has applied to change the R3-B zone. Currently the zone allows dormitories to be a maximum of 120 beds, and a maximum of 2104 beds on the overall site. The proposed zoning changes would allow a maximum of 174 beds per building – an increase of 54 beds per dormitory, and a maximum of 2154 beds on the overall site - an increase of 50 beds overall.

The Council Report dated August 23, 2013and proposed site plan are available for download. Office hours are 8:30am-noon, and 1-4:30pm, Monday to Friday excluding Labour Day, 2 September.
