Kitimat City Council meets tonight, Monday, August 19th for their Regular Meeting of Council at 7:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Northwest Community College.
Four presentations are scheduled. The first comes from Staff Sergeant Phil Harrison with his Monthly Policing Report. Then comes Jennifer and Braydon from the Emergency Awareness Program with a power point presentation. Ed Prochot talks about the integration of Seniors and Youth. Finally, Chad Fournier from the Kitimat Snowmobile and Hikers Club asks for a letter of support to gain gaming grants.
Under motions, there is a motion to have a meeting with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans from Councillor Phil Germuth. There are two bylaws. The Adoption of the Spay/Neuter and Microchip Incentive Bylaw and the Records Management Bylaw.
There are four reports. The first is from AFFNO who are making a request for Winterfest 2014. There is a report regarding the cancelation of the September 14 Regular Council Meeting, the Appointment of an Approving Officer and the Statement of Accounts for July 2013.
Under communications falls the Letter of Support and a letter from Amy Da Costa about the lack of a Quatsino / Lahakas Sidewalk.
