The Canada Day Festivities began with a Pancake Breakfast put on by the Humane Society, who was given the fundraiser by the Kiwanis Club. The breakfast began at 8:00 Am and the demand was high.

“We were overwhelmed with people looking for pancakes and sausage. We’ve gone through 100 pounds [of sausage] and there still a big line up. It’s great,” said Ron Burnett, who was grilling sausages.

All of the proceeds from the event went towards the Humane Society. MP Nathan Cullen was helping with the fundraiser.
