Kitimat City Council Meets tonight, Monday, May 6th in what could possibly be their last meeting in the Public Safety Building before moving to the College. There are no presentations scheduled for the meeting, but there is still plenty on the agenda.

The meeting begins with the Court of Revision for the 2013 Flat Rate Tax Roll. After approving the minutes from 4 Council Meetings, there is a motion to appoint Kerri Weightman to the Leisure Service Advisory Commission.

There are 7 Bylaws on the agenda. These include 3 readings for the budget and the Tax Rate Bylaw, 3rd reading for the Escort Service Business Amendment Bylaw and 3rd Reading and adoption of the R3 Multi Family Planed Development Bylaw.

Bylaws being adopted tonight are the Leisure Services Fees and Charges, the Revitalization Tax Exception Bylaw and the Sewage Disposal Charges Amendment Bylaw.

There are 5 communications. The first is a request for A community event grant for the Kitimat Dynamic Gymnastics Club for last weeks Spring Fling, two Travel Grants for Kitimat Minor Hockey, a Travel Grant for the Mount Elizabeth Drama Club and the Statement of Accounts for March.
