REPORTING · 17th April 2013
The Community Discussions on Camps is coming up. At City Council on Tuesday, April 2nd, Councillor Phil Germuth advised staff to schedule a meeting at the Mount Elizabeth Theatre, Councillor Mario Feldhoff would add an amendment to invite representatives of PTI to participate.
Germuth expressed the Theatre was a better location for this meeting. “It’s a much more comfortable area for people to be sitting for a few hours, it’s set up much better for that type of Town Hall meeting, we’ve had them there before and they’ve done very well,” said Germuth.
He pointed out at the last Town hall meeting concerning the Escort Services at Riverlodge, The Deputy CAO, Warren Waycheshen, was running around with a microphone.
Feldhoff expressed it would be appropriate to invite representatives from PTI to participate. Germuth hoped they would participate and answer questions asked by the public. Councillor Rob Goffinet needed to know the level of their participation.
CAO Ron Poole stated the meeting was to be focused around camp policy and the PTI would be dealt with as a part of PTI’s Application.
The Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, at 7:00 pm.
