The Kitimat Toastmasters held their Area Toastmasters Speaks contest on Saturday, April 6th. People came from Smithers and Terrace to represent their club in a Speech Contest and an evaluation of a speech. 20 Toastmasters came out.

Here are the results:

The Winner of the Speech Contest is Laura Ross from the Terrace Toastmasters Club her speech on Master of All Masters. 2nd place went to Reg Barnes from the Nechako Toastmasters Club for his speech about Hunting Lions in Texas. There was one other contestant: Rob Boyce from Bulkley Valley Toastmasters Club, for his speech Roast for Mark.

The Winner of the Evaluation Contest is Reg Barnes, 2nd place went to Leydi Noble from Terrace. The other contestant was Aaron Geary from Bulkley Valley.

Following the competition, they held a meeting where one of the topics was to elect a new area governor. The New Area Governor is Louise Grenier from Bulkley Valley Toastmasters Club.
