Another Queen’s Diamond Jubilee award was given out in Kitimat on Tuesday, April 2nd. Captain Rob Buller of the local Sea Cadet Corps was presented the prestigious award.
“It was awarded to me for excellence in administering the Cadet program in the community. I was nominated originally from Ontario where I was before I moved here and I basically carried on through,” said Buller.
He is very happy to have the Cadet program back up and running in Kitimat, although he wishes he had more youth involved with it. There are 11 cadets in the program and he hopes to have 20 before the end of the year.
His wife, Captain Deana Buller who also works with the cadets was given an award, a twelve year service award.
Commander Bates was also there to show his support representing all cadets in BC.
