Kitimat City Council Meets tonight for their Regular Meeting of Council for Monday February 18th, 7:30 Pm in the Council Chambers.

There are three presentation, the first is from Staff Sergeant Phil Harrison with his Monthly Policing Report. The Second is by Pat Mouland from Nechako School with a Fundraising Project for a Trail Rider. Finally, Ron Burnett is reposting Kitimat Economic Development Association.

After approving Minutes, there are three motions, all from Councillor Mary Murphy. The first is for a Speed Notification at the Entrance to Kitimat, the Second is for a Vehicle Time Counter and the third is for Housing Committee Report.

There are two bylaws. 3 readings for the Flat Tax amendment bylaw and 1 reading for the OCP and Forest Hills Zoning Map Amendment Bylaw.

This is followed by 9 reports. The first is for the trail rider. The next 5 are for grant requests. Then comes a report on the Riverlodge boiler system. Following it is Pre-budget approval for electronic vehicle charging station and slope master lawnmower. Finally come the statement of accounts for January.

Under commutations falls a letter from the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce for business excellence awards.
