Kitimat City Council Meets tonight, Monday December 3rd. However, instead of their Annual Statutory Meeting, they are holding a Regular Meeting of Council at 7:30 Pm at the Council Chambers in the Public Safety Building.

1st in the meeting is the subject of Gannet Gander walkway removal. Both John Allsop who lives on the street and Erika Prett from the Kitimat Heritage Group will be presenting.

There are two bylaws scheduled. The first is in regards to the use shipping containers as accessory buildings and structures. The second is the first reading of the accessory amendment bylaw.

Under reports, Mount Elizabeth Middle and Secondary School is asking for a totem pole funding request. There is the election of the Regional District Director and Alternate followed by the appointments to commissions and committees,

The final three reports are a business case analysis on the BC Climate Action Charter, the Revitalization tax Exemption bylaw and a report on Airport Transportation Service.

Finally, there are three communication. There is a letter to Golder Associates with a request to install a monitoring well on Ocelot Road, a letter on community mail box installation fees and a letter on the proposed Inter Coastal Transportation Link.
