The Rotary Held their Annual Rotary Saturday November 24th in the Lower City Centre Mall. There were 265 items up for bid. On Friday, November 23rd, the auction was open so people could see the items and place pre-bids.

“The funds go to our Kitimat Community. We support youth programs, we have a Rotary Youth Leadership Program and that is a BC program. The youth take leadership programing in North Vancouver, Lakeelse and in Prince George,” said Cheryl Rumley.

In addition, this year the Rotary Club of Kitimat was pleased to have Kitimat declared a Rotary Peace community in a partnership with Mayor and Council. They acknowledged a Peace School and awarded a Peace School. They also assisted Museum in the Classroom and are working with the Food Share Program to help feed students.
