REPORTING · 3rd October 2012
Walter McFarlane
The Aluminum City Telethon is fast approaching. Set for Sunday, October 21st, this means it is almost 3 weeks away. The telethon will run from 11 am to 9 pm. The Community Foundation Members have been meeting to once again, put on an amazing show.

This year’s theme is ‘All Come Together.’ Louise Avery reported they have 21 confirmed performers for Sunday’s show. Each will be limited to 10 minutes.

Once again, the plan is to have Monique Millar fly up from Victoria to host the show. Mayor Joanne Monaghan will be working with Hawkair to try and bring her up to Kitimat.

Jean Nidd reported the inserts and the cameras are ready to go. The inserts are small programs aired throughout the telethon which show where the money donated to the telethon is going within the community.

The final act this year is Arty Horianopoulos. The people at the meeting were told there is no Terrace band coming this year to play them out.
