REPORTING · 20th September 2012
Walter McFarlane
It was a grey and raining morning with a few patches of blue sky overhead as Kitimat held its third Public Market on Sunday, September 9th. Despite the rain people still came out for 11, but several of the Venders had a problem with the wind and were forced to pack up.

If there was a theme to the market, it was food. New venders brought with them honey and Portuguese Sweet Bread. Returning venders sold produce, baked goods and meals to those who were willing to brave the rain.

Northern Health also came down to hand out information to the food venders about regulations and standards.

For the next public market, set for Sunday the 23rd, the organizers hope to bring down horses and have the music which played at the second market back.
