The Kitimat Humane Society is having a busy summer between lots of animal calls, fundraisers and support. One such fundraiser happened on Saturday, August 11th.

“Yesterday, Divine Ink which is owned by Clair and Oliver who live on Mallard Street. They have a tattoo and body piercing Business and they approached us, they wanted to a fundraiser for us. They took bookings and all the tattoos and body piercing they did were 100% profit to the Humane Society,” said Maryanne Baumbach at the Public Market on August 12th.

In addition, they sold hamburgers, hotdogs and beverages. Baumbach stated 80 people showed up. The estimate is around $600 was raised for the Humane Society after expenses.

Further donations of food, money or blankets can be brought down to the Humane Society at the Animal Shelter.
